Wicked Tulips Flower Farm

Wicked Tulips Flower Farm is a spring favorite!

Unfortunately, our last visit was in 2019. Now that were settled in CT and had always visited their Johnston, RI location, which can be a little bit of a trek with a toddler who hates the car, we hadn’t been back. It wasn’t until I was on the hunt for outdoor activities for toddlers this past weekend that I came across their instagram (@wickedtulips) and realized they have a Preston, CT location! We made the easy decision to visit since we are in the midst of selling our home and had to be out of the house for the majority of the day last Saturday to accommodate our open house and private showings. Even though the weather forecast didn’t look promising, we had a blast, especially Eli.

The entire time was spent running up and down the rows of tulips and helping me pick them and put them in the basket. He loves to be outside so he was definitely in his element. There are moments where I can tell how much he has grown and this was definitely one of them. He is always so excited to help, but he just looked so much older! He had a blast on the tractor, too!

If you aren’t familiar with how it all works, its super simple! Wicked Tulips is a U-Pick Flower Farm, tickets and a reservation are required for your visit. Adult tickets are $20 and include 10 U-Pick Tulips. Children ages 5-7 are $5.00 and no tulips are included, but can be purchased by the stem for $1 each. Children under 5 are free! You arrive during your allotted time slot and can spend time in the tulip fields and pick them to bring home! They also have a photographer available for family portraits and special events throughout the Spring. Our tulips are stunning!
