Linen is my least favorite fabric, or at least it was. Typically, I tend to lean towards fabrics that offer more structure and before now, I couldn’t get over how light linen felt in comparison to these other tried and true favorites that I have gravitated towards. Of course, there is always the issue surrounding wrinkles and that has also played a large roll in my dislike of the fabric. There is nothing more frustrating than getting all dressed up to sit in your car for no more than a minute and have wrinkles. DRIVES.ME. NUTS. (pun intended? haha) In that one minute I have gone from feeling completely put together and ready to take on the day, even the world in some cases, to an absolute disheveled mess. Every time I wear a linen piece and find myself covered in wrinkles I swear off even the slightest idea to try it again in the future, but here we are again, just much happier and wrinkle free!
The Charlie Holiday Palma Romper has completely changed my stance on linen. As a linen-cotton blend the Palma Romper offers more structure, avoiding those annoying wrinkles, but lends itself to being breathable for the humid summer days. Honestly, Im obsessed! A linen blend provides the best of both worlds, which has led me to giving linen another chance. A few of my favorite pieces can be found below.
